In today's dynamic world, we've all had the pleasure of attending various events, from intimate gatherings to grand-scale extravaganzas, both in our personal and professional lives.

While attending these events is always a delightful experience, organizing them is a different story altogether.

The relentless pursuit of the perfect venue, extending invitations to guests, meticulous logistics planning, catering arrangements among other things demands an enormous amount of time and effort.

Amid Nakuru's seemingly conservative event scene, three visionary friends, Aziz Mola, Ben Muraguri, and Kariuki Kabii embarked on a remarkable journey in 2022 that they hoped would forever change the city's event landscape.

Their brainchild, Naxouse Entertainment Company, was born from a shared passion for Afro-house music and a burning desire to revolutionize Nakuru's event industry.

The inception of this idea occurred when Muraguri had the opportunity to attend an Afro-house event in Nairobi, before the grip of the pandemic where he was captivated by the seamless execution and personalized touch of the event.

Mola's experiences, post-COVID-19, involved tiresome journeys to Nairobi for similar shows in search of exceptional entertainment while Kabii not only shared the love for the music but also saw the gap in the Nakuru events sector.

When the trio united to organize an Afro-house event in Nakuru, magic happened.

"Our maiden event, was free to test the waters. We were amazed by the overwhelming turnout of over 200 enthusiastic attendees," says Muraguri.

Encouraged by this success, they organized another show, and the numbers continued to grow, revealing an untapped market in Nakuru.

Muraguri highlights that realizing the potential they had unearthed, the three friends initiated discussions on making Naxouse the premier host of Afro-house events in Nakuru.

This led to the formal registration of their venture as Naxouse Entertainment Company.

Mola underscores the driving force behind their success and has an unwavering passion for crafting unforgettable events filled with exceptional experiences.

"In December, we took a significant step by hosting our first ticketed event. The event was a huge success, defying the initial scepticism about attendance given that we had previously hosted free events," he says.

As they expanded their horizons, the trio recognized the financial challenges of hosting outdoor events.

To optimize their resources, they introduced club editions alongside outdoor events and actively sought sponsorships to support their endeavours.

Mola notes that they understood that outdoor events require a substantial budget, typically around one million shillings, making sponsorships crucial for sustainability.

To date, Naxouse has hosted five club events at various venues across the city.

"The journey has not been without its challenges since we have continued to work diligently and consistently to eliminate the misconception that epic shows can only be organized by relying on talent from Nairobi," Mola emphasizes.

Their aspirations are clear; to become the leading hosts of major events in Nakuru and dismantle the stereotypes surrounding the city's event scene by ensuring an unforgettable experience every time.
