Jennifer Wanja and Bethwel Kinyua, a couple with hearing impairment, celebrated their wedding today at St. Francis Catholic Church in Teachers.

The wedding drew a diverse crowd of all ages, eager to witness the union of these two individuals.

In a remarkable display of inclusivity, the wedding ceremony ensured that sign language interpreters were present through out the church, stationed in various corners to assist those in need.

During the service, a touching moment unfolded as Lucy Chepkemoi, who is blind, was given the opportunity to lead a sequence using braille.

In an interview, Wanja and Kinyua shared the story of their meeting.

According to Kinyua, when the two crossed paths at a church event in Mukurwe ini, Nyeri County last year, it was love at first sight.

Kinyua subsequently sought permission from Wanja's parents to propose and marry her, a testament to his respect and love for her.

Both Wanja and Kinyua spoke fondly of each other, emphasizing their caring nature and vowing to support and cherish one another as they embark on this new chapter together.

The Nakuru Deaf community, joined in celebrating the joyous occasion.
