School holidays are meant to have kids take a break from the monotonous school routine. However, when the kids went for their school holiday on 25th November 2022 to resume On January 23, 2023, they were set for a long stay at home.

With such a long holiday kids need to be guided on what to do both for leisure and keep in touch with books to help them not stay off the course for long.

Math club and painting classes at the library

The Kenya National Library Service, Nakuru Branch is running a math’s club project where kids are helped out solving Math problems and get tutored on different mathematics topics. The club is run by the librarian in charge in liaison with a group of volunteers who come to teach the kids on weekends during school days and on the daily holidays.

Adjacent to the Math club is a Gallery room that gives painting lessons. If you think you can create magic from a brush and paint, give the KNLS Nakuru branch a try.

If you are looking to learn the game of chess in Nakuru, Afraha secondary should be your go-to place. The Nakuru Sports Association through coach Dickson Gitari is offering chess training from 2 pm to 4 pm everyday.

Great minds kids club.

The kids club situated at Mercy Njeri is curated to foster the social interaction of children. The club has chess, skating, swimming, ballet dancing, and other specialized training depending on the kid’s needs.
