There is something exciting happening with the Nakuru party scene that has everyone looking forward to the weekend.

Apart from the standard clubbing experience, the town is witnessing more curated events that cater to a specific audience.

Be it in the world of motorsports, car enthusiasts, music lovers with different genres and so on.

To give you a better understanding of what I mean, here are just a few of the events that have gained prominence in the city. Both because of the way they are set up and the way they operate, gaining a loyal following of Nakuru residents.

Oldies & Soul

Launched at the end of last year, Oldies has tapped into the millennial's love for the mellow and entertaining jams of yesteryear. The event comes up with monthly themes that contextualise different genres of music, including its classic country music edition, hype sets from DJs that better suit both millennials and the Gen Z group.

Naxouse

Big on Afro-house, this event has undoubtedly turned people into dance masters on the dance floor or made them dance on their two left feet. You may know them from the 'our tribe is cooler than yours' entertainment phrase, which focuses not on tribal lanes but party group affiliations. This event attracts more Gen Z and Millennials who are into the hype that the event serves up, not to mention the dope Afro face painting on set. Just great moments with every edition.

Street After 5 Vibes

Aimed for people leaving work on Friday evenings. The event has brought street performances to life on the streets of Nakuru. Dance, poets, rappers, visual artists, you name it. Since its inception a month ago, the event has seen dozens of creatives take to the streets, introducing Nakuru residents to the many acts and talents that Nakuru has to offer.

Nakuru Car Culture

Whether you own a car or not, this is one event you always want to attend. Allow me to throw a confession, at the first edition I challenged myself on automobiles specifically on those I knew, let's just say I identified car brands but knew nothing on car models and the intricacies of car engines as many talked about.
Through the Nakuru Motor Club, car enthusiasts have gone on adventure trips together, raised money for charity, and made memories.

Nakuru car culture have planned a road trip to Lake Elementaita on April 23, 2023.

Biking festival

Organised by cyclists from Nakuru, this event has been done to encourage fitness or tour different places in Nakuru. The latest event is held at Hell's Gate. Called the Hell's Gate Biking Festival, the event will take place from the 10th to the 11th of August.
