She thrust into the limelight in 2020 when she was featured in a television drama series Trap house which aired on NTV.

Zawadi Njoroge 24 is a successful Kenyan actress, influencer and entrepreneur born and brought up in Nakuru city.

The University of Nairobi alumnus has acted her way to celebrity status after landing roles in major TV shows and programs.

In the popular ‘Trap house’ series Zawadi perfectly executed her role acting as Tasha which described the life of a typical campus diva.

Her passion for the art however dates back to her early childhood years at Lions primary where she enjoyed being part of the drama festivals.

"My talent was further nurtured at Moi Forces Academy where I became the chairperson for the drama club," Ms Njoroge narrates.

It is however, during her time at the university that she decided to take a stab at the auditions for major shows for her career.

“When the auditions for Trap house were announced, I dared to give it a try and was successfully selected to play Tasha,” she says.

The actress went on to get selection to feature in other shows including Zora which was aired on Citizen TV, Salem at Maisha Magic among others.

According to Ms Njoroge, having the opportunity to feature in such big films at her age are some of the biggest milestones she has made in her acting career.

However, the path to stardom, according to the actor, has not been a walk in the park considering the many challenges she has had to deal with, including numerous disappointments from the auditions after being rejected many times.

“Dealing with the societal misconceptions that believe a woman cannot get such opportunities without giving out favours in return has also been a great challenge for me,” she adds.

In her view, anyone, especially a lady that is passionate about acting, must be resilient and be ready to face such disappointments in order to excel.
