Anthony Kinuthia, a beacon of compassion and expertise, has become the trusted guardian of community health, tirelessly serving as a pillar of support, healing and hope for those in need.

Kinuthia is popularly known in areas such as Flamingo and Kimathi in Nakuru for his first aid service in the community.

In an interview with Mtaa Wangu, Kinuthia mentions that his passion started in high school where he joined St. John’s Ambulance club.

“About 2 years ago, I lost both my parents to a terrible car accident. Later on, a fire was ignited in me on how I can assist people in the community,” narrates Kinuthia.

Later after exiting high school, he got an opportunity to train as an Emergency Medical Technician from St. John’s Ambulance.

Whenever there is a football match or any activity going on, you will always spot Kinuthia dressed in his St. John’s Ambulance reflector jacket accompanied by his portable first aid kit, ready for action.

Kinuthia is always on watch, having an unwavering dedication and a keen eye for the safety of every player.

He always stands ever-ready on the side lines of football matches, poised to swiftly administer first aid and expertly address any injuries that may arise, ensuring the well-being of the players.

Kinuthia is also known for advocating Mental health, Menstrual health and hygiene for women, as he plays a big role by educating girls on Menstrual hygiene and donating menstrual kits to the needy.

Kinuthia reveals, “One of the challenges I face as a community doctor is lacking enough medical supplies when doing first aid in the different communities.”

“Moving forward, my duty is always to ensure that people are well, always saved and assisted. I also continue to champion mental health amongst the community as there is a lot of stigma,” says Kinuthia.
