The calm ambience of Nakuru ASK grounds was today lit with cheers and loud vuvuzela sounds as football lovers thronged the field to watch the Chapa Dimba Rift Valley regional semi-finals.

Mary Wangari, a Mwenge FC fan, says that the matches gave a satisfying feel as top talents went toe to toe to showcase their prowess in the field.

She notes that each team proved they deserve a spot in the tournament finals to be held on Sunday November 12.

Nonetheless, by the end of the day there was only one winner.

"Although my team did not make it to the finals, I had fun today, especially the women's match. Trinity Mission girls were so powerful. They came from behind to win their game. That was my match of the day," she says.

Kicking off at 9 am, eight teams settled the score in the field during the tournament's semi- finals.

Clinching a spot in tomorrow 's finals after a strong comeback is Nakuru's Trinity Mission girls, Wiyeta girls (Trans Nzoia), Pasc Langa FC (Uasin Gishu) and Laiser Hill Academy (Kajiado).

Other than good football, business was also booming at the grounds as food stuff and football-themed toys were on high demand.

Esther Mbapale, a trader, says she came in at 10 am and made good sales.

" Parents who come in with their children bought shades and toys. I have had a fruitful day, " she said.

Other than some intense action in the field, electrifying dance performances also featured to entertain fans.

Children were mesmerized by the dancing robot and tall man as adults in the house were kept engaged to different dance grounds.

After the games came to an end the, a line-up of artists hit the stage including Trio Mio, Mzazi Willy M Tuva ,Nakuru's Verly Mkali Wao, Dj Flash ,Drastik and Level Next for the after party.
