Just days after winning the Nakuru County League Championship 2022/2023, Manyani Soccer Club are now aiming to soar even higher.

The team is now focusing on next season that commences early next year.

They are also in preparation for the Nakuru East NG-CDF inter-estates.

Speaking to Mtaa Wangu over the weekend during their training at Nakuru South cemetery, the team's coach Ben Otieno said they are already in preparation for the Nakuru Town East National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) inter-estate tournament.

The tournament, according to the coach, shall commence in December and the team is ready to participate.

He added that the win in the Nakuru County League has motivated the boys.

"They showed a lot of discipline and that is why we won the league. We are now practicing for the Nakuru East NG-CDF inter-estate at the end of this year," he says.

Otieno is however quick to note that despite the good performance, the team needs more support from the County administration.

According to him, the county's sports department should support such young talents in realization of their dreams.

This, even as he pointed out that they are trying to reach out to any well-wisher to step in and support the team.

It should be noted that in the County League, Manyani Soccer Club overpowered Eva Stars Youth to clinch the Championship title with 45 points having played 20 games.

Eva Stars finished second with 43 points, Wembley FC collected 38 points to wind up third while Machinery FC was placed fourth with 32 points.

The team was crowned champions at an awards Gala held at Nakuru ASK Show Ground in a colourful event organized by Nakuru County Football Association and sponsored by Peter Kamau alias Kaskas and Extreme Sports.

Manyani Soccer Club also produced the league’s best goal keeper with team's head coach Bernard Otieno also being crowned the best coach.

Manyani Soccer Club is a team of young boys drawn from the humble Manyani estate in Nakuru East sub county.
