During the Eid prayers at Menengai High School Grounds, Nakuru Muslim Association Chair Faez Ahmed Nasher called on the faithful to remember the less fortunate.

“Let us not forget our brothers and sisters who cannot fend for themselves,” he said, extending prayers to Muslims in the Middle East, urging that the ongoing conflict end and normalcy be restored.

Nominated MCA Hassan Duale used the occasion to call for peace as the country heads into an electioneering period, urging Muslims and non-Muslims alike to safeguard the nation.

Duale also added that the scrapping of the vetting process had made Muslim youth feel more included, saying the community could now access national IDs like any other Kenyan, which, according to him and other leaders, had long been a barrier for Muslim applicants.
