Two employees charged with stealing liquor worth Sh 15 million will have to pay Sh 2 million bond for their freedom.

Emanuel Onyango and Polycarp Oketch were released on bond terms after they denied stealing liquor worth 15 million on diverse dates between November and December last year.

The goods are said to belong to Mr George Scaria who runs the liquor store within Nakuru town.

The two who are said to be employees at the store were arrested on January 24 following a discovery by the owner over his missing goods, namely wines and other alcohol brands.

They have since been in custody after the court allowed the police to detain them for two days to conclude investigations.

The court was told that Polycarp worked as a driver at the liquor store at the time the goods were reported missing.

Appearing before Nakuru Principal magistrate Isaac Orenge the police in their miscellaneous application claimed to rely on the audit report as well as the witness statements.

The case will be mentioned in February for directions on hearing.
